I have wanted to learn to fly since being a teenager but never felt that I could either afford or felt that I could do it. I then discovered microlights, and realised that this could be my way in.

After searching the net I came across Cloudbase, and what attracted me about them was the ability to be able to buy a share in a plane, a very cost effective way to go flying in my opinion! I booked an air experience as a taster and, as a result of that, decided to go forward. To date I have found Phil to be an excellent and patient teacher, even when I keep doing the wrong thing!! So far so good and no problems in recommending the school to anyone!

I’ve done the majority of my flight training with Cloudbase and I am enjoying the experience and look forward to my first solo flight which should be soon I hope. My instructor Phil is a great guy and easy to get along with. He is highly experienced and has trained many pilots! This inspires my confidence and enables me to relax and enjoy flying. We fly the excellent CT2K, G-CDJF. It is spacious with plenty room for my long legs! I hope to complete my training soon and buy a share in the Cloudbase’s  G-KUPP, a CTSW that I’ve flown a few times. On the ground, I enjoy spending time with the Cloudbase pilots learning about all things to do with flying. I’m so glad I took up flying!
