The Shadow is a fully enclosed, two-seat dual-control aircraft. It has no "defined stall" and is exceptionally spin resistant. No pilot has yet forced a Shadow into a spin. For a pilot, it is very comforting to know that this aircraft is not trying to "bite" you, in fact, its aerodynamics are on your side. Featuring a 50 H.P twin cylinder, twin carburettor engine with dual ignition as an option, and a three bladed ground adjustable propeller, the Shadow Series C's STOL performance is impressive. In trials, the distance to 50 feet (15m) altitude, of 450 feet (137m) at a maximum weight makes it ideally suitable for training schools or for pilots operating from short fields within restricted boundaries. Landing distance from 50 feet (15m) is 600 feet (183m). A ground roll of less than 250 feet (76m) on grass, at A.U.W. can usually be bettered, even in zero wind. When landing with full flap selected, and using the very powerful brakes, stopping can be less distance than take-off. From a trailer, two people can rig up a Shadow in less than ten minutes and fly using only 2.5 gallons of fuel an hour whilst cruising at 90 m.p.h. If you want fun with safety - fly a Shadow! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
